Royal Caribbean owns the island but Carnival has a contract with them to allow access to it and all of its amenities. With that said, it’s only accessible... Consistently voted on “Top Beach” lists throughout the Caribbean and the World, Flamenco beach is located North on Culebra Island about an hour boat ride from Puerto Rico, USA. The Dutch side was “modern” with tall buildings and felt a bit like parts of Miami. The French side was quaint, shorter buildings… more... St Lucia Island Tour St Lucia’s best places to visit are near the southern end of the island. What would take hours by car or bus only takes a few minutes to travel by water taxi. While in St Lucia we had an island tour from Solomon’s Water... We originally were to rent a car and tour the island ourselves. We weren’t planning to visit a plantation. However, our car rental got a little mixed up. We easily found a tour group that showed around the island. In some ways, this was much better.... Although not the beach for swimming or building a sandcastle, Bathsheba Beach is a must see. The rocks and white-capped waves, picnic benches, small bar, and local vendors make this a fun stop. St Johns US National Park has placed underwater plaques along an underwater “snorkeling trail” that describes the coral, fish, and underwater life. It’s hard to compare two snorkeling spots, but in some ways, this was one of the best snorkeling... Here are some quick highlights of our walk around Philipsburg. Nestled at the end of a very active international airport, airplanes large and small fly low for a proper landing. The planes seem to fly mere feet above your head as your feet enjoy the surf... If you’re a party animal and love the feel of an active beach then North Orient Bay Beach should be on your To Do list. This is France, so the beach is divided in half. The Southern half is “clothing optional” but the Northern half requires full... Sheltered family-friendly beach. Friar’s Bay is a great place to swim with clear waters. It’s usually not crowded. There are two bars/restaurants. Arguably the best beach on St Martin (both sides). The sand itself isn’t your typical white-sand...
